Top Travel Resources

Travels On Point Affiliate Disclosure Statement

I created this comprehensive list of travel resources for you.  I have done the research on all of these over the years on my own. I wish I had a list like this when I started my nomad travels!

This list includes:

  • Where to find flights easily and with best prices
  • Where to book hotels for best selection and price
  • Where to find good tours
  • Best e-sim cards
  • Good Travel Insurance

👉 I personally use all these resources in my travels and love them!

You can use this handy checklist before heading out on your next adventure:

Hotels and Hostels

Booking.com – Check Booking.com for hotels, apartments and BnBs. This is my go-to for hotels.

HostelWorld: I love this for hostels. Great detailed info and reviews. Hostels aren’t scary, grungy places! You can get single rooms or dorms and meet travelers of all ages.

Flights

Skyscanner – Find the best flight for your circumstances and budget. Search months at a time with prices listed. I use this every time I book a flight. I also use Google Flights.

Tours:

Viator: Viator has lots of tours, you can search by exactly what you want. I use them all the time. You can easily read the ratings and reviews.

GetYourGuide: I like GetYourGuide because they usually have more niche, specialized, local tours. Find you next unforgettable experience. And easy to read ratings and reviews.

Phone and Data – e-SIMS

Airelo: Use Airelo to stay connected and get data anywhere in the world. A popular international e-sim company that is easy to use. Choose one country or a region. Budget friendly.

Tello: USA e-sim that I use to keep my US phone number while travelling long term. Plans as low as $5.00. Use this link to sign up and get $10! I even switched to Tello when I’m the US because the plans are cheap and you can mix and match data, talk and text to fit your needs.

Trains

Trainline: I I love this app! I use it in Europe all the time. Check train schedules all over Europe. Very easy to use.

Travel Insurance – One month or more

SafetyWing Feel secure when traveling. I can’t say enough good things about them. 24/7 real person support. Choose from two different options of coverage.
