Trieste, Italy
I visited Trieste twice for several days and this relaxed and intriguing coastal Italian city won my heart. Trieste is a melting pot of Austrian, Slavic and Italian culture and was known as “Little Vienna” in the past.
Trieste flows down the hills and to the Adriatic with it’s magnificent Grand Plaza right on the water. The local Triestians are very welcoming, the pace is relaxed and it is an excellent place for day trips to Slovenia, Croatia and nothern Italy.
Below are posts on Trieste’s excellent restaurants, the local Trieste beaches, things to do and more. Enjoy the magic of Trieste!
